To love life is to love food, and to allow oneself the pleasure of it: Chez Truchon has three locations, all united by hearts and stomachs!

Eat, live, love

Chez Truchon - L'Île Mystérieuse- Boutique Charlevoix & Truchon à la maison

There once was a little boy from Saint-Fidèle, Charlevoix, raised in a family of sailors; his tastebuds nurtured by a family of travellers; he then becomes a cook, and subsequently, a master chef… At his table, terroir is king, flavours rule, and butter and cream drip extravagantly from its corners. With his wife Annie, and his brother-in-law Jacquelin, a project born of discussions over bottles of great wine: an epicurean bistro of his own, an exquisite inn where pleasure is all. Aubergine with local Déo Gracia cheese, smoked scallops, squash with pecans, black pudding, duck-fat fries, and grilled octopus are just a few of the mouth-watering seasonal dishes on the Chez Truchon menu. Foodies here also love their decadent breakfasts. We come back here often; we have our favourite server, our favourite wine, and a dessert we’ll order, every chance we get…

Walking through this door,
as through the other two,
the finer things in life are embraced!

...Which is how Truchon à la maison came to be: Dishes you can reheat for dinner at home, sold right next door, at the: Boutique Charlevoix. Here, local arts and tablewares coexist: Hazaki knives, woven linens, regional delights, pottery, and more…

Afternoons can be spent lounging on the island; evenings can be started or ended there…

If you’re going to dream, you might as well dream big: L’Île Mystérieuse [The Mysterious Island] wine and tapas bar completes the Truchon family’s epicurean, perhaps even hedonistic, offering. In the velvety atmosphere that won the gold medal at the 2024 Grands prix du design awards, we leave ourselves in the mixologist’s hands, and we choose a few plates to share... Later, we remember to check out the impressive Jules Verne collection to whom the whole concept is dedicated.
