Set into the side of Bellevue hill (you'll have guessed from that name that the view is not an unpleasant one to look at) the Auberge des 3 Canards inn has had a well-established reputation, for many decades now, both for its rustic charm and hospitality, and for the unforgettable Charlevoix vacations experienced by its guests, many of whom come back for the same experience year after year in all seasons.

In the kitchens of the 3 Canards restaurant, a well-oiled team gets busy serving a refined bistro-style menu attuned to the seasonal inspirations of the area's producers.

On the menu, are classics that we're happy to rediscover, reinvented with a modern touch: escargots with garlic scapes and cheese sauce, scallops topped with house-smoked duck, lamb sweetbreads with apples and oyster mushrooms, onion soup topped with aged black garlic cheddar… And, when the product is this good, it can speak for itself, as it does sitting on the inviting Charlevoix tasting plate, that includes rillettes, cheeses and charcuterie…

Rooms, suites, cabins, group stays or events: You choose the experience that speaks most to you for your getaway in this, the birthplace of resort life, this historic section of La Malbaie. At the Auberge des 3 Canards inn, you can dive into the pool, or go a snowmobile adventure, with our regional partners, you can availa yourself of ski packages, or you can linger around the billiards table, or on the croquet pitch… But, beyond a shadow of a doubt, what we know is that, whatever the season or the weather, we'll make time to have a big breakfast around the table at the 3 Canards inn, as the morning meal here is famously gourmet… The maple butter crêpes and poached egg covered in white wine sauce are the natural extension of the flavour-full experience offered here, but the star of the show is definitely the bread bar, where the bread is toasted on the grills in the big fireplace! That heat rivals the warmth of the hospitality that we're pleased to call "the royal treatment!"
