This story begins with a jack-of-all-trades businessman. As a sales representative, his route led him to visit La Malbaie and more precisely 177 rue Saint-Étienne, then the Bergeron family pharmacy. A few years later, he got his hands on that very building, the first locale in the downtown core, after discovering that it had been abandoned. He then breathed vision and vitality into the building, baptizing his new venture Espaces St-Étienne.
When one of the neighbouring merchants decided to sell his kitchen-gift shop, Daniel Poirier decided to take over himself. In his inevitable taste for puns and witticisms, he named the new brand TOU & Cie. A name that says a lot about the vocation of the place, which has since undergone 3 phases of expansion. Indeed, TOU & Cie is committed to offering a little bit of everything. Everything to spark desire. Everything you need in the kitchen. Everything to offer as a gift. Everything to take home as a souvenir. Everything you need to unleash your creativity.
Meet the next generation!
His name is Phillip, and he’s ready to join his father’s entrepreneurial adventure, choosing to settle down here for good, just in time for the store’s fifth anniversary. He brings with him new ideas and skills inherent to the young, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect, as projects keep multiplying for this father-son duo. One such project is to see TOU & Cie make its place in the world of e-commerce this year, ensuring the long life of this local business that has won the hearts of anyone who has ever crossed its threshold.
