All well and good. But in which village, and at which door can this specialty grocery store, with with its well-stocked shelves be found, you might ask? Why, at home, of course, with one click:
Charlevoix’s online grocer
The extensive “Maturin, comme à la ferme” website, founded by Jonathan L. Bélanger, includes a full page created by the Charlevoix and Charlevoix-Est RCMs to showcase producers in the Charlevoix territory, thanks to the Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l’Alimentation’s contribution under the Territoires : priorités bioalimentaires [Territories: Biofood Priorities] program. As a result, producers in the area benefit from this new “shop window” when promoting their products to foodies across Quebec. The easy-to-navigate Maturin Charlevoix website allows people to place orders from different producers in one shopping cart, to be delivered fresh to your door, wherever you live!
" Quebec’s exceptional terroirs [natural environments] are abundant and Charlevoix’s terroir is unmistakable. Here, we find family-based food producers and processors who have relied on their uniqueness to provide us with fresh, flavourful, well-presented food. These businesses, by joining forces, have made their product offering increasingly competitive with the offering provided by major grocers. We’re really proud to be able to work together to promote the purchase of products made in Charlevoix, beyond their usual distribution area. "

Alex Perron: He knows how good Charlevoix tastes
Did you know that Alex Perron comes from Port-au-Persil, in Charlevoix? In fact, he has a cottage in the little hamlet, where he spends almost all of his vacations. And it’s non-negotiable: when staying at the cottage, he takes the time to stock up on great local products! Cheeses (including Migneron) which Alex is particularly fond of, for example. So it’s entirely natural for the popular host to want to share the good news, that the taste of Charlevoix is now available to everyone, with as many people as possible! Which is why he’s become a proud ambassador of Maturin Charlevoix. Knowing how perceptive and playful he is, we can hardly wait to see how he will embrace this cause!

« I tell producers to take a chance, not to be afraid. As the seller of a perishable product, Maturin helped me supply my clients outside the Charlevoix area, and helped me stabilize my sales outside of the tourist season. If Maturin helped me, they can also help you. They’re always full of ideas for helping us showcase our products. »
-Annie Bérubé, Le véritable agneau de Charlevoix
