From the smokehouse to the room’s ambiance, everything’s authentic here and smells wonderfully of meat! Jimmy and Julie took the bull by the horns to make sure their steakhouse would be one of a kind.

A paradise for any enthusiastic carnivore!

There’s no compromising on the meat; it’s what they’re known for here! Of course, you can enjoy certified AAA beef, but you can also experience the most prized beef in the world: the famous wagyu beef, and not just any: it’s raised right here in Quebec. The menu will make your stomach growl with all the cuts of steak, along with their smoked specials like ribs, brisket, Cornish hen, cold-smoked salmon and house-made bacon. And that’s not to mention the burgers, fried seafood and mac and cheese with shredded beef… From the regular menu to the chalkboard, the dishes take you on a voyage through the southern regions of the United States, known for their barbecue and smokehouse cuisine, an influence that the La Bohème grill restaurant is proud to represent in Charlevoix. They do their cooking in the smokehouse for a tasty result that melts in your mouth!

Not only can you taste what makes La Bohème unique—you can experience it too! The atmosphere of this one-of-a-kind two-storey restaurant starts with the large patio with its glowing fireplaces. This cozy ambiance also fills the interior, where barn beams, cement, metal and leather the colour of a good glass of red give off an industrial vibe…but there’s also beer, cocktails and even shooters, because it’s always a party around here. Every party calls for some good tunes, and while the playlist will make you want to bust some moves, more often than not, it’s a singer or a rock band setting the mood. The top floor, which has a stage worthy of its name, hosts a variety of musicians, both local and from elsewhere, and comedians who take the mic. So you definitely won’t be bored when you go out to La Bohème!

While this cozy establishment is a paradise for carnivores and discerning connoisseurs, rest assured that, above all, they’re a welcoming gathering place where tourists and locals alike mix and mingle. Couples share supper across a table from each other, groups raise their pints here, families are welcome and even vegetarians will find something to enjoy on the menu. After all, that’s precisely what the word “bohème” means—enjoy it and take it easy!
