We love our fjord, and our cetaceans too. So much so that we've created an illustration of our own for them!

Freeze frame: Whales from the Fjord

Covering 1,245 km² in the St. Lawrence Estuary and the Saguenay River, a protected area is the home of large marine mammals that delight us with their peaceful, curious presence and a splendour that touches our hearts… Before plunging back into the mystery of the cold, salty waters, full of krill and an underwater life that we can only imagine up here, on the surface, a vast ecosystem of sea cucumbers and colourful anemones hidden below... Nursery of belugas, whales of all types, recognizable by their markings, their unique spots— sometimes you can even spot the blue whale! We love our whales far beyond the incredible show they put on; they are a constant reminder of the fragile balance that unites our worlds. Faced with the grandeur of the landscape, in front of the strength of these creatures, let us choose to anchor ourselves in our values, in beautiful, conscious life choices, in the creation of a future in harmony with this world where we occupy, in the end, but a small piece of land.
