Paddle party

25 years of Katabatik aventure dans Charlevoix
It all kicked off in 2001 with the construction of a a number of wooden kayaks at Cap-à-l’aigle; this year, Katabatik celebrates 25 years in the outdoors! That’s 25 years of gleaming sea kayaks and guided excursions leaving from different piers and beaches in the greater Charlevoix area. The company, founded and led by Sébastien Savard since its inception, also offers descents of the Gouffre River, canyoning, winter kayaking, paddle surfing, and bike rentals…
Now operating from the wharf in Baie-Saint-Paul and the beach in Saint-Irénée, the ecotourism adventure company is readying itself for a celebratory 2025, culminating with the Pagaies en Fête [Paddle party] on July 5, featuring a river descent open to everyone, free kayaking workshops in the bay, and entertainment, including a DJ set, bouncy structures, and other surprises…
By way of a birthday gift, a new excursion will be offered this season, going in search of weir fishing, in the Cap-aux-Oies area. Then, we’ll head back to where it all started, with the return of the Gros Cap-à-l’Aigle excursion.
To your paddles, your package tours, and your season’s passes, discover the waves safely with the team at Katabatik - Aventure dans Charlevoix… Most of all, be sure to remember to wish them a happy birthday!
